Habasync timing belt

Transported tooth by tooth

At Motek, Habasit will be presenting its Habasync timing belts in various widths, special coatings and freely selectable driver profiles for the precise positioning of goods in the material flow. Innovative end connections ensure fast belt changes.

Precise delivery is a prerequisite for precisely timed processes in assembly, handling and automation. Conveyor belts and timing belts play an important role here. Habasit, market leader for conveyor and processing belts, will be presenting its Habasync timing belts at Motek, which have been proving their worth in applications for many years. The company refers to low operating costs thanks to durable materials and simple maintenance processes.

The belt widths range from ten to 600 millimetres. The widest timing belts available on the market have a pitch of T10 or H and are made of thermoplastic polyurethane with an aramid tension member. Individual configurations are possible depending on the intended use. The thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 88 to 92 Shore A (depending on the type of base material) is also a material with outstanding properties in a wide range of areas: It is resistant to oil, grease or chemical agents on the one hand, and hydrolysis-resistant on the other.

Machine downtimes reduced
The Habasync Hinge Joint mechanical end connection enables quick and easy timing belt replacement for widths from 25 to 600 millimetres. It reduces machine downtimes from up to eight hours to less than 30 minutes. The stable hinge connection made of high-strength plastic is fully integrated into the timing belt and ensures extremely easy handling when changing belts. In contrast to other mechanical end connections, the hinge joint is transversely and extensively rigid and bends easily. The geometry of the belt is not changed. The spacing remains the same and the timing is not affected. Assembly is simple and intuitive without the need for special tools, says Habasit.

In addition to the choice of suitable surface coatings, flights of any shape, number and sequence can also be applied to the back of the timing belt to meet the various transport requirements. The punching of holes and milling of grooves, for example for welding on V-guides, is also possible. There are virtually no limits to the variants.

Endless Habasync Flex timing belts are the first choice for particularly heavy loads. Spiral-wound tension members ensure increased tensile strength compared to timing belts with an end connection. They can also be used for high power transmissions, especially where chemical resistance and wear resistance are an advantage. as
