Still RX20
Anniversary forklift for Seifert
Still can celebrate the production of the 200,000th forklift truck from the orange and silver RX series. A new RX 20, the quintessence of the powerful series that was only presented in January, was handed over to the Ulm-based Seifert Logistics Group.
The Still success story begins in 1920, when company founder Hans Still starts a repair business for electric motors in Hamburg. The company quickly expanded and later moved to its current headquarters in Berzeliusstrasse. In 1949, an innovation was launched on the market with the first electric forklift truck developed in-house, the EGS 1000. The R 50 electric forklift truck series becomes the best-selling three-wheel forklift truck series in its class. In 2003, Still begins the RX series, which is still successful today, with the first RX 50. In the meantime, the company has developed from a forklift truck manufacturer into one of the world's leading providers of intelligent control of internal goods and information flows.
"The fact that we are handing over the new RX 20, an anniversary vehicle that underlines in a special way our claim to deliver innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for the complex requirements of our customers, proves the high value of our trusting partnership with the Seifert Logistics Group," emphasized Thomas A. Fischer at the handover of the vehicle at Logimat.
Since the company was founded in 1947, Seifert has developed from a regional market leader to an international forwarding and contract logistics specialist for the entire supply chain of its customers. With more than 1,900 employees, the family-run company based in Ulm is one of Germany's leading logistics service providers. At 43 locations in Europe, Seifert implements procurement, production and distribution solutions for the automotive, paper, chemicals, construction materials, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods industries. In 2017, the company generated a turnover of around 185 million euros.
"In addition to rapid technological developments, we logisticians have to adapt to customer behavior that is changing more and more dynamically," says Christian Stoll, Managing Director (COO) of Seifert. "Our customers' demands for shorter delivery times and transparency are constantly increasing. With Still's solutions, we can meet these requirements competently and reliably." as
