Positioning in truck production

At Kamaz in Russia, manufacturer of trucks, buses and special vehicles, Kito electric chain hoists have been part of production since this year: the powerful Kito ER2 and the efficient Kito EQ.

From the pressing of the side panels to the bolting of the elements, the assembly of the cab, the mounting of the axles and the final inspection, every step of the truck production process involves handling heavy weights. Even the flat rolled metals from which the side molds of the cab are pressed weigh so much that they can only be transported with the help of lifting gear. At Kamaz, this is done by the Kito EQ - a powerful hoist for every production hall.

On the Kito Erikkila Prosystem slewing jib crane, the Kito EQ moves the load very smoothly and positions the rolled metals precisely in the production machine thanks to the frequency converter integrated as standard. Work efficiency is improved by the 1.3 times faster lifting speed at a maximum of 30 percent of the nominal load. The Kito EQ is also equipped with high-level safety features.

Due to the proven quality, Kamaz has also decided to use the Japanese hoists for other production steps. Kito-ER2 electric chain hoists were ordered through partners for the production of the trucks. This chain hoist is equipped with a carbon friction clutch and an electromagnetic brake for safe load control. Load capacities from 125 to 20,000 kilograms ensure a wide range of applications.
