Condition monitoring
Automated condition monitoring via app
The latest update of Optime, Schaeffler's condition monitoring system for machines and systems, now also integrates the SmartCheck and ProLink condition monitoring systems.
With the market launch of Optime in 2020, Schaeffler presented the condition monitoring of machines and systems. According to the automotive and industrial supplier, the system is easy to put into operation, can be used without specialist knowledge and is so economical that its use in large quantities pays off. With the latest update, Optime now also integrates the SmartCheck and ProLink condition monitoring systems (CMS) from Schaeffler. Optime thus covers the condition monitoring of a wide range of machines and often entire plants. "Optime provides meaningful analysis results that enable maintenance teams to take immediate action. This enables our customers to reduce downtimes and increase the efficiency of their machinery," says Rauli Hantikainen, Head of Strategic Business Field Industry 4.0.
Avoid downtimes
For companies in the plant-intensive process industries in particular, avoiding unplanned downtimes means greater efficiency. With Optime, customers can use a smartphone or desktop app to keep an eye on the status of their plant at all times, even with hundreds of machines, as the messages are prepared in a user-friendly way and prioritized according to criticality. This allows in-house maintenance staff or service companies to plan maintenance measures, personnel deployment and spare parts procurement in a timely and cost-efficient manner. They can decide flexibly whether and which other services they would like to make use of. The modular service concept offers online, remote or on-site services.
Condition monitoring can be simple
In the industrial environment, users of digital services also expect easy-to-understand preparation of information and uncomplicated handling of hardware and software. Condition monitoring systems from Schaeffler can be used without additional qualifications, as the system configuration and data analyses are largely automated with the help of Schaeffler's expertise. Both the highly scalable Optime solution with wireless single-channel sensors and the two systems for machines with dynamic speed and load conditions as well as environments with temperatures above 85 °C - the single-channel CMS SmartCheck and the multi-channel CMS ProLink - have this integrated knowledge. With condition monitoring solutions from Schaeffler, operators and maintenance staff have an expert view of the condition of almost all machines in a plant at all times via an app.
