Innovations will be presented in various formats at the trade fair stands, on the lecture stages of the ScienceCenter and SolutionCenter and during the guided tours. And young company founders can look forward to it.

"Hardly any other industry will be reshaped by digitalization as much as industrial maintenance," emphasizes Maria Soloveva, Event Director Maintenance at event organizer Easyfairs Germany. "It is therefore extremely important to get to know the latest developments at first hand," the event director is convinced. Maintenance will be taking place in Dortmund for the tenth time on February 20 and 21, 2019. With this anniversary, the event for industrial maintenance is underlining its position as the leading trade fair for the industry in Germany.

Technology trends and tangible practical tips

With this proven format, the organizer offers the best opportunity to gain an overview of the latest products, services and technology trends in the maintenance industry in two days. This is complemented by the latest information from science and research as well as tangible practical tips from the companies. A supporting program will also be put together for 2019 with the main theme "The digital transformation of maintenance", which will take place on the lecture stage of the ScienceCenter. Once again, established institutions such as the Fraunhofer IML and recognized universities are in the starting blocks. Exhibitors will also be presenting their innovations in the SolutionCenter. More than 200 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors are expected.

"We are certain that we will once again have the entire range of industrial maintenance products and services on board," says Soloveva. This will include solutions for digitalization as well as traditional products and services. Fire and explosion protection as well as occupational health and safety in maintenance will round off the portfolio. After a successful start last year, the Smart Maintenance user conference, which is organized by Süddeutsche Verlag Veranstaltungen, will take place again in 2019. The supporting program will be supplemented by the VDI Expert Forum, the "4th Annual Meeting of Young Professionals in the Chemical Industry" and guided tours of the trade fair.

First StartUp Area for innovative ideas and founders

For the first time, there will be a StartUp Area for innovative start-ups at Maintenance Dortmund 2019. There, young companies from the maintenance and digitalization sectors can present their business ideas and innovative solutions to decision-makers from the industry and the entire maintenance community.
