AI-based assistant monitors machine statuses

An AI-based assistant from SSV monitors machine statuses, virtual operating hours plus event counters and automatically informs the service department if necessary.

With the help of an AI-based remote maintenance assistant MMA/160, SSV Software Systems aims to automate condition monitoring and notification tasks in remote maintenance applications in order to avoid unplanned machine downtimes as far as possible. The machine data required for this is supplied to the assistant by an IoT retrofit sensor that is simply attached to the machine to be monitored.

Many machines and systems now have VPN-secured remote maintenance access via the internet. In the event of a fault, a service technician can therefore react quickly and carry out an initial diagnosis via VPN remote access. In many cases, the cause of the fault can even be eliminated remotely. The service notification is usually sent by the machine operator, but only after the fault has been detected. This is precisely where the SSV remote maintenance assistant MMA/160 is designed to improve matters and provide the service technician with high-quality information even before the fault occurs thanks to 24/7 real-time data evaluation, in order to enable proactive action to prevent faults and ensure the availability of machines and systems in line with requirements.

The MMA/160 consists of the MLS/160A sensor and various software components for data acquisition, data analysis and visualization. The adaptive analysis functions can be used to implement condition monitoring, virtual operating hours and event counters, event indicators and performance indicator measurement systems (machine KPI displays) and adapt them to the respective machine. To generate the raw data for the counting functions, notification and KPI measurement, all that is required is to subsequently attach at least one MLS/106A to the machine to be monitored. Everything else is included in the special MMA/160 software functions, which run as a mapping function on a VPN gateway.

The remote maintenance assistant MMA/160 is now available. To make practical use as easy as possible for the user, SSV also offers a remote deployment service and on-demand webinars.
