System Development Kit for Retrofit

At Embedded World, SSV Software Systems will be presenting the System Development Kit (SDK), which can be used to retrofit next-generation IoT applications today with the help of sensors, gateways and AI services.

The digital transformation is also enabling existing products to be retrofitted with AI functions, such as machine learning. This creates intelligent services that offer completely new possibilities and additional value for both the product user and the manufacturer. Development can be significantly accelerated with the SDK modules. The drivers, libraries and fully functional code examples contained in the SDK, together with various sensors and a preconfigured embedded gateway, allow you to quickly get started with your own projects.

One possible application in the field of machines and systems is the combination of a machine learning algorithm for automatic 24/7 condition monitoring on site with a remote collaboration service for troubleshooting in the cloud. If the condition monitoring detects an error, it notifies the service via the notification functions of an IoT platform. An employee at the SSV Software Systems site analyzes the system trend data stored in an IoT database and supports the customer in troubleshooting.

The first SDK will be available from Q1/2020. A further variant will be available from mid-2020 together with an NB-IoT modem and integrated SIM card to implement machine learning-based soft sensor applications for condition-based monitoring via area-wide, cellular IoT radio networks.
