Ball transfer units and tolerance sleeves

Useful helpers

The range of ball transfer units and tolerance sleeves will be on display at Dr. Tretter. The ball transfer unit consists of the ball and a large number of small supporting balls. A hardened support shell serves as the raceway.

This design allows the track ball to rotate in all directions with low friction. The support balls roll in the shell as the track ball rotates. Several ball rollers are arranged on one level. This allows even heavy loads to be turned or moved effortlessly - up to 14 tons depending on the size. Tolerance sleeves are slotted sheet metal sleeves with beads that are embossed like shaft crests. The standard material used is stainless spring band steel, which can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees Celsius. Special versions can even be used at temperatures of up to 450 degrees Celsius or in aggressive chemical environments. as
