Compact and equipped with modern interfaces, the new Siko AP20S position indicator is easy to integrate. In combination with the externally connected linear magnetic sensor MS500H, it is also equipped to detect the position of linear guides or slider adjustments in machines.
The operator can see the target and actual position directly at the adjustment position; this information is also transmitted to the higher-level machine control system. This makes it suitable for use in flexible production machines of all kinds. In addition to the Sikonet5 and Can data interfaces already offered, Siko is now also implementing the most common industrial Ethernet fieldbus interfaces in a position indicator: Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Ethercat and Powerlink. This means that integration into current control systems from various manufacturers is now directly possible without any additional accessories. Against the backdrop of Industry 4.0, the evaluation of device status is becoming increasingly important in addition to the exchange of pure process data. The AP20S takes this into account with diagnostic options and an electronic type plate, which is used to identify the device type, serial number and software version. as
