New plant focuses on Industry 4.0

Rittal has built a new plant in Haiger in central Hesse specifically for the production of the new compact enclosures. With 250 millio. euros, the largest investment in the company's history, to create the world's most modern production facility for compact enclosures and small enclosures in accordance with Industry 4.0 criteria. The highly automated production control system makes the plant a central link in order processing and a guarantor for the constant availability of the series portfolio with accessories. At the trade fair stand, visitors will learn how networked production works and how they can use the digital process chain to their advantage.

Industrialize control and switchgear construction

Using the example of enclosure wiring, Rittal and Eplan show how the product manufacturing process can be optimized - from the provision of digital article data and product configurators to the engineering and work preparation process, in which the digital twin of the enclosure is created, through to digitally connected production.

Rittal will also be showcasing its latest developments in the field of power distribution: VX25 Ri4Power, based on the new VX25 baying enclosure system, is an individual system for the construction of type-tested low-voltage switchgear, offering benefits ranging from high efficiency to process advantages thanks to high data availability and easy configuration with the new "Rittal Power Engineering" software.
