Processor for simplified data transfer
With the CloudConnect portfolio, Siemens is simplifying data transfer within the IIoT to cloud solutions. The Simatic CP 1545-1 communication processor designed for use with the Simatic S7-1500 is used for this purpose.
The company offers the Simatic CloudConnect 7 IIoT gateway for connecting existing systems. CloudConnect makes it easier to use cloud-based data analyses, for example to increase the availability of machines by evaluating the data as part of predictive maintenance or to offer marketing models such as pay-per-use models. Two variants are available for connecting existing systems: Simatic CC712 enables the connection of a Simatic S7-300 or S7-400 via Industrial Ethernet. Simatic CC716 supports the connection of up to seven Simatic S7 controllers via Industrial Ethernet or Profibus/MPI interface.
