Crate.io, a specialist in data management for the Industrial Internet of Things, has appointed Syed Hoda as Chief Commercial Officer and President North America. Hoda has more than two decades of market experience in scaling advanced technologies at both start-ups and industry leaders.

Prior to ParStream, Hoda was a senior executive at Cisco in a variety of management roles on three different continents. Most recently, he was General Manager of Cisco's Emerging Solutions Group, where he led the creation and scaling of new, disruptive software companies and was also instrumental in the launch of the Cisco Globalization Center in Bangalore, India. Hoda earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
"Syed's experience in global and commercial scaling of enterprise technologies along with his expertise in digital transformation is an ideal fit for our company," said Christian Lutz, CEO of Crate.io. "As our new CCO, Syed strengthens Crate.io's market leadership in data management for the IIoT. We are delighted to have him join our leadership team."
"Digital transformation has created a wealth of opportunities to improve operational processes in organizations, it's now up to them to get the real value out of the data. They need to get much, much better at making their data work for them," said Hoda. "Crate.io was built specifically for the machine data world and has helped industry leaders achieve measurable results faster than other data management vendors. I'm honored to join a fantastic team with a history of tremendous customer success."

Hoda joins Crate.io at a time of strong momentum, where the company was recently recognized by Forbes as a Top 25 IoT startup and also selected as a Gartner Cool Vendor for manufacturing operations. Crate.io is used by over 1600 companies worldwide for a variety of machine data applications.
