Energy guiding chains
Operation at Nuremberg Airport
The cable drag chains in the EasyTrax series from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp enable extremely fast cable routing. Cables, hoses etc. are simply pressed into the flexible slat brackets. This allows up to one meter of cable drag chain to be filled in less than a second - saving installation costs.
At the check-in terminals at Nuremberg Airport, computers and printers are housed in mobile trolleys. As a result, cables and plugs run the risk of being damaged or accidentally pulled out. With the help of cable drag chains from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp, the airport technicians have eliminated this source of error and optimized the availability of computers at check-in. The cable drag chains are used at all 30 check-in counters at Nuremberg Airport. They guide the cables to the computers and printers, which are each housed in a trolley located in the footwell of the terminals. When not in use, this trolley stands under the table of the check-in counter and is pulled out as required on rollers that run along a rail on the floor. The EasyTrax energy chain with a clear internal width of 38 millimeters guides the cables safely and without making contact with the floor. Cable tangles and connectors coming loose when the trolley is moved are eliminated.
The Quicktrax and Uniflex Advanced series also enable fast chain loading. With the opening tool available for the cable drag chain, users of the Uniflex Advanced 1455 can open one meter of cable carrier in just three seconds - the ball-and-socket mechanism of the connecting brackets makes this possible. The Quicktrax series, on the other hand, is characterized by locking brackets with a flexible film hinge, which allow easy handling of the cable assignment.
