Tape reels

Communicating coils

Together with PSI Automotive & Industry and Winckel, Mosca has developed an RFID application for the automated storage of strap reels in strapping machines. The spools are provided with an RFID label that contains information about the strap material.

SoniXs strapping machines equipped with a reader read the label and report to the ERP system which coil is being used. When the coils are gradually used up and the stock level drops, the system automatically reorders suitable strapping from Mosca. As soon as the produced strapping leaves the factory in Muckental through an RFID gate, the customers are automatically notified via the ERP system. Once the goods receipt has been booked, the warehouse is replenished and the order is completed. All processes can be tracked easily, clearly and on the move via an industrial app. as
