They are important tools in the manufacturing and automation industry and are used here every day: laser devices that can be used to mark, label or mark product parts, signs, labels and more. One system that is suitable for this is the Lasermaxx Galvo easy from the Cameo Laser Franz Hagemann range.

The company is presenting the fiber laser at Intec. It is suitable for processing metals, engineering plastics and many other materials. "The device is equipped with an air-cooled 20-watt pulsed Q-switched laser source, which is particularly powerful. With short pulses, energy peaks are achieved in a repetitive process that produce a material-removing engraving. In this way, products, machines, signs, labels or tool parts can be permanently and durably marked with key figures, lettering, symbols, photos, data matrix or barcodes in different colors and depths," explains Steffen Jesper, stand manager and head of the Cameo Laser Competence Center Leipzig.

Processing speed: three meters per second
The processing speed of the Lasermaxx Galvo easy is freely selectable. If required, the device can reach a maximum speed of three meters per second. Thanks to its machine height, the laser also offers the option of using various lenses with different focal lengths and circular processing fields of 110 to 220 millimetres, allowing the laser spot to be focused as required.

The manufacturer also points out that the machining area can be accessed from three sides thanks to an automatically opening and closing pneumatic hood. This lifting technology with opening and closing times of less than three seconds provides a clear view of the optical trace positioning frame, which makes it easier to align the workpiece.

Tool for serial production
"A computer-controlled Z-axis ensures focusing of the selected lens and automatic height adjustment of the material," emphasizes Steffen Jesper. Industrial marking processes are supported by the Lasermark software specially developed for the device.

The program includes a CAD graphics and design section, true-type and single-line industrial fonts as well as various barcodes and data matrix codes. "This means that the Lasermaxx Galvo easy can be used in serial production without any problems," continues the Cameo employee.

Another laser system will also be presented in Leipzig: the Epilog mini 24, aCO2 laser device with a servo motor system, which is not only used for fast engraving, but also for cutting type plates. as
