More than 20 new high-tech jobs will be created at the state-of-the-art facility in California. The SVIC will be available to customers in North America for all technical questions related to high vacuum technology, with a focus on semiconductor applications and Pfeiffer Vacuum's integrated products. Customers have the opportunity to test and evaluate new vacuum solutions tailored to their applications in the early stages of development. An on-site team of experts provides direct expert advice on all Pfeiffer Vacuum products and provides a seamless link to the global Pfeiffer Vacuum Research & Development organization.

"The opening of the Silicon Valley Innovation Center shows how committed we are to driving innovation for our customers in the semiconductor market and supporting the development of future technologies," explains Dr. Britta Giesen, CEO of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology.

Vacuum technology is required in the semiconductor industry for the manufacture of microprocessors, storage media, high-resolution displays and much more. Customers mainly use medium and large backing pumps, but also turbopumps and measuring devices. With systems for contamination analysis and leak detection, chip manufacturers can significantly increase their production yield.
