Two speed-controlled drives
Edwards Vacuum has introduced the ELRi range of liquid ring pumps.
The stainless steel impeller, end plates, fluid reservoir and heat exchanger make the pump highly resistant to corrosion and process gases. Internal injection channels reduce the risk of leaks, while the horizontal arrangement of the motor flanges reduces maintenance time. The use of mechanical seals ensures reliable operation.
The liquid ring vacuum pump is equipped with two speed-controlled VSD drives. While the first adjusts the speed of the pump to the vacuum level, the second regulates the water flow through the centrifugal pump according to the operating conditions. This avoids the risk of cavitation. The integrated Air-Logic control system enables the monitoring of important pump characteristics and parameters and offers the option of setpoint control.
