Efficiency of 97 percent
The ZS 4 VSD+ oil-free screw blower, which Atlas Copco will be presenting at IFAT in May, is highly efficient thanks to its economical IE5 permanent magnet motor. The motor has an efficiency of 97 percent across the entire control range. Thanks to the Neos inverter, the blowers use up to 10 percent less energy than the previous series. They are available with outputs from 37 to 90 kW and generate pure compressed air in accordance with ISO 8573-1, class 0 (2010).
The new screw element enables pressure increases of up to 1.5 bar. The footprint is only about half the size of its predecessors with the same capacity. Pressure and temperature are continuously monitored. The blowers work with a single-stage, directly driven screw element and consume up to 30 percent less energy than positive displacement blowers due to the internal compression.
