Cobot family

The new one for 16 kilos

Universal Robots has introduced a new cobot: the UR16e. With a load capacity of 16 kilograms, the model complements the portfolio. According to the manufacturer, the UR16e combines its high load capacity with a reach of 900 millimetres and a repeat accuracy of plus/minus 0.05 millimetres.

This makes it suitable for the automation of tasks involving heavy loads without a safety fence, for example in the areas of handling or machine loading. "With the UR16e, we are now meeting the existing demand for a collaborative robot that can also carry out tasks with high payloads reliably and efficiently. Applications of this kind have not yet been covered by the cobot market," says UR President Jürgen von Hollen. "Manufacturing companies now have one more opportunity to counter the shortage of skilled workers and other obstacles to growth." as
