Efficient palletizing and depalletizing of KLT boxes
At Logimat 2024, the company from Gescher-Hochmoor in Münsterland will be demonstrating the palletizing and depalletizing of KLT containers within a line.
Trapo uses a gantry to optimally pick up and move the KLT containers. These heavy-duty giants are traditionally used to optimally fill the height of the production hall on long, straight stretches. In Stuttgart, the 6-metre-high gantry shows a new side: at the trade fair, it operates with highly efficient performance in a limited space.
The gantry is equipped with a clamping jaw gripper. The task: to pick up four KLT boxes each and transfer them to conveyor technology - two directly onto the roller conveyor, two are buffered in parallel and then pushed off. This creates a continuous sequence for final stacking and palletizing.
Versatile portal palletizer
KLT containers are used in many industries: from the food and pharmaceutical industries with care and high-care areas to the automotive and mining industries. Trapo patented a multifunctional gripper for small load carriers (SLC) back in 2016. The gantry palletizer presented has already proven itself in practice. KLT containers are fed into the line at a speed of up to 800 boxes per hour. Palletizing and depalletizing is performed by the high-performance gantry system on display, which is connected to several production machines. The transport technology consists mainly of roller conveyors.
