Basic seminar RWTH Aachen
How it works between man and machine
The basic seminar "Human-Robot Collaboration" at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University teaches the basics of human-robot collaboration and analyzes which robot is suitable for which application.
The use of robots in production environments is already part of everyday life in many companies. The robots often operate behind fences and light barriers. In recent years, however, human-robot collaboration has become increasingly important. Here, the skilled worker and the robot work together and even complement each other, as both have their own strengths. With their experience and knowledge, humans are always superior to robots. The latter, in turn, can excel in terms of accuracy, speed and repeatability.
On September 4, 2018, the Machine Tool Laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen University will be focusing on successful collaboration between humans and machines. The aim of the basic seminar "Human-Robot Collaboration" is to teach the basics of human-robot collaboration and to analyze which robot is best suited to which application. Necessary safety regulations for the design of overlapping workspaces between humans and robots are also discussed. The seminar is characterized in particular by its strong focus on practical application, as various HRC robots are tested and programmed during the course of the event.
The event is aimed at members, plant managers, managers and senior employees in the areas of production planning, production planning, technology planning, technology management, automation, plant engineering, research and development. as
