Robot dispenses the goods
Electronics or ice - the Workerbot is flexible
The Workerbot kiosk from pi4 robotics is a fully automated store with integrated production in the format of a kiosk. The store, which can change its sales program within minutes, is operated exclusively by a Workerbot3 robot.
The first workerbot kiosk was opened in Berlin in May 2018 by the company Robots&Girls. The robot saleswoman here also has a name: Gisela. She sells Toybot toy robots there. The workerbot assembles the Toybots in front of the customer in six minutes and then hands them out.
The robot dispenses the goods, but can also carry out assembly work or individualization tasks (similar to a craftsman). At the same time, the workerbot also ensures automatic quality assurance. If a product does not meet the quality requirements, the customer receives a refund or a new product is built.
The customer can select the products directly at the kiosk on a touch screen. The selection is similar to a web store that can be connected to common merchandise management systems and checkout software. The goods are filled using specially developed transport trolleys that allow the magazines to be exchanged quickly. The magazines can be shelves or functional units such as a coffee machine or other appliances. This means that the Workerbot kiosk can be reconfigured from an electronics store to an ice cream store, a coffee bar, a toy store, a shoe store or for completely different tasks in just a few hours.
Payment can be made in cash, by EC or credit card or by voucher. The vouchers can be purchased in advance in an online store, so click-and-collect purchases are also possible. After payment, the robot delivers the goods or performs the desired service.

The Workerbot kiosk is very compact. The integrated lifting axles in the side pillars allow the kiosk to be lifted at the touch of a button, meaning it can be transported to the site by car trailer. For export, it even fits into a sea container, making it suitable for events or traveling trade. as
