Fine surfaceWith ASK brushing, Ferrobotics is expanding its range of end-of-arm package solutions for automated surface processing. With the new convenience package, the company offers an automation solution that can be integrated immediately for the delicate brushing process when cleaning the surface of the body-in-white.
Spot and laser welding leaves weld spatter and smoke on the workpiece. According to Ferrobotics, the force-dosed brushing process of the ASK gently processes the electroplating layer, making manual reworking unnecessary. This brushing result is a prerequisite for optimum coating quality on the end product. ASK brushing is tailor-made for door entrances, water channels, roofs and hoods. Thanks to Active Compliant Technology (ACT), the robots recognize the versatility of the surface to be treated and thus automatically dose their force. As a special sanding solution, the ASK complete package includes important peripherals such as servo technology, electronics and suction.
