Flap disc

More power for grinding

Thanks to the patented precision-formed abrasive grain, the new 3M flap disc 769F offers a longer service life and faster stock removal than conventional zirconia alumina discs.

The design of the new flap disc based on precision grain technology from 3M offers several advantages: The specially shaped grain cuts cleaner and faster than a conventional abrasive grain. Less heat is generated during the sanding process and the flap disc has a significantly longer service life. This means that fewer disc changes are required, which in turn saves time and money.

The new flap disc is particularly suitable for weld seam processing, chamfering, blending and finishing as well as for surface preparation and for removing scale and weld spatter. The disc can be used for machining structural and stainless steel and is mainly used in the automotive, metalworking and mechanical engineering industries.

Three diameters, four grit sizes

The 769F flap disc is available in conical and flat versions in grit sizes 40+, 60+, 80+ and 120+. It generally offers similar finish results compared to flap discs of the next finer grit. For example, a 60+ flap disc leaves a finish similar to that of a P80 flap disc. The 769F flap discs are available in diameters of 115, 125 and 180 mm.
