Mapal in the VDWF
Active in the Association of German Tool and Mold Makers
Mapal has broadened its membership of the VDWF (Association of German Tool and Mold Makers) and now operates as a single company within the association.
Mapal became an official member of the VDWF on February 1. The company is thus strengthening its existing commitment through Weisskopf Werkzeuge, the Mapal competence center for solid carbide tools in Meiningen. "We have come to appreciate the work of the association in recent years and are now looking forward to expanding the network. As a new player in tool and mold making, the VDWF is an excellent address for us to address new customers in a targeted manner," says Andreas Enzenbach, Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications. Mapal wants to use the contacts with the association members to exchange experiences and information and to contribute its broad expertise in the field of precision tools and process solutions. The company is also involved with presentations at the association's themed and specialist conferences and in research projects.
The VDWF was founded in 1992 and has its headquarters in Schwendi. The aim of the association is to strengthen the German tool and mold making industry. Its members include service providers, contract manufacturers, suppliers and machine manufacturers as well as universities and research institutes. The VDWF has been a member of the International Special Tooling and Machining Association (ISTMA) since 2019, making it part of a global industry network. As a global representation of the interests of tool and mold making companies, the ISTMA has around 8,300 members.
