Sustainable milling tools
Ceratizit is showcasing tool solutions for efficient machining. Highlights include the S-Cut solid carbide milling cutter made from UpGrade carbide; this term covers products with a high degree of material circularity.
The carbide powder consists of 50 to 99% recycled material that has been processed using advanced metallurgical technologies and 100% renewable energy. According to the manufacturer, the S-Cut offers very good product performance with the lowestCO2 emissions in its class.
The milling cutter combines the performance of an all-round high-performance milling cutter with the ecological advantage of the carbide substrate. The optimized geometries and the new coating are aimed at performance and long tool life. Ceratizit is also expanding its portfolio of micro milling cutters, such as the products in the Aluline series, for increasingly smaller workpieces, for example in medical technology.
