Indexable inserts
Indexable inserts in sintered version
The circumferentially ground Walter indexable inserts of type LNHU... in various milling applications have proven themselves many times over since their introduction at AMB 2012. Suitable for use in tangential Walter Blaxx corner milling cutters F5041, F5141 and F5241, as well as in hedgehog milling cutters and adjustable cartridge milling cutters, they have been successively expanded into system indexable inserts.
Walter is now adding a new, sintered version to the range. According to the company, this is characterized above all by its cost-effectiveness. The new LNMU... indexable inserts with L55T geometry will initially be launched in the Tigertec Gold grade WKP35G and the Tigertec Silver grades WKP25S, WK45S and WKK25.
Like the previous ground LNHU... indexable inserts, their peripherally sintered counterparts each have four cutting edges and demonstrate very high concentricity and axial run-out accuracy when used in Walter Blaxx milling cutters. The Tübingen-based manufacturer of precision tools also mentions the soft cut thanks to twisted cutting edges, high feed rates and exact 90° setting angles as further features. Due to the tangential arrangement of the inserts in the milling cutter, process reliability is also high. cs
