CNC machining centers
Production of complex precision parts
At Metav 2020 in Düsseldorf, Hurco will be demonstrating how the right software equipment and comprehensive technical support can lead to greater efficiency in single-part and small-batch production. Using CNC machining centers from Hurco and Takumi, the machining specialist will be demonstrating the optimization possibilities in the production of complex precision parts.
Modern CNC machining centers have a wide range of technical features. However, it is not uncommon for operators to not fully utilize the options of a machine due to a lack of user knowledge. Hurco therefore supports its customers with video tutorials, training courses and a multi-person technical service to fully utilize the performance of the existing machinery. "If we know the customer's requirements, tips on handling and supplementary software packages can often help to significantly reduce programming, set-up and production times," explains Sebastian Herr, Head of Hurco Application Technology.
Since Takumi has been under the Hurco umbrella, Takumi customers have also been able to take advantage of the fast, partnership-based support. On request, new customers receive instruction in the use of the compact machining gantries and learn from the CNC experts how the customer's requirements can be optimally implemented with the Heidenhain programmable logic controller. This support is often a profitable advantage for medium-sized manufacturing companies. In addition, the machines score points with a first-class price-performance ratio and extensive basic equipment. At Metav 2020, Hurco will be showcasing the 3-axis Takumi H10 model, which is ideal for beginners. Like all Takumi machines, it has outstanding mechanical and thermal stability and is therefore particularly suitable for metalworking in tool and mold making.
