High precision and repeat accuracy

Danobat developed the LG series of external grinding machines for the production of technically highly complex workpieces such as hydraulic precision parts, automotive components or parts with eccentric diameters.

Its grinding headstock with cooled electrospindles achieves maximum peripheral speeds of 120 m/s and thus covers both the speed range required for machining with conventional abrasives (45 to 60 m/s) and that for special abrasives (20 to 120 m/s) with maximum torque.

According to the company, the sanding machine is particularly characterized by its versatility in the B-axis. In addition to several grinding wheels, it can also accommodate different accessories, such as measuring devices or superfinishing devices. The B-axis is driven by an integrated motor. This ensures positioning accuracy, explains Danobat. Other features include a device for checking before, during and after machining.
