High performance milling cutter
For pre-finishing and finishing
The high-performance SCN05C series milling cutters from tool specialist Dormer Pramet are specially designed for tool and mold making. They are particularly suitable for copy milling of steels, hardened steels and cast iron. The tools are available with diameters from 12 to 20 mm.
The tools are characterized by a narrow tooth pitch, which increases the number of teeth and productivity by around 20 percent, according to the company. In addition, vibrations are kept to a minimum, even when milling corners and pockets, thanks to the increased tooth engagement. The main applications for the new milling cutters are contour, profiling, plunge and face milling.
