Electroplated diamond tools
Pferd is launching electroplated mounted points in grit size D 852 and four different head shapes and a total of eight dimensions for machining gray and ductile cast iron (GG and GGG; GJL and GJS).
Compared to conventional tools made of corundum or silicon carbide, these have the advantage that they are coated in a single layer, which makes them tools with large chip spaces. They are also suitable for use on robots and stationary systems due to their shape and profile retention. As the tools do not wear like conventional grinding tools, according to the manufacturer, the dust load during use is very low. The dimensional stability reduces vibrations caused by imbalance and also minimizes dressing effort and costs.
