Sawing and storage technology

Annina Schopen,

Digital and without staff

Kasto promised a world first for its trade fair appearance at the EMO in Hanover. The sawing and storage technology specialist presented a fully automated system for processing. The unmanned concept enables 24/7 operation. The experts have combined tried-and-tested components to create a newly designed solution that works in the tightest of spaces.

The Kastotec AC 4 - a fully hydraulic high-performance saw in a heavy-duty design with a horizontally parallel moving saw blade - is also of interest to metalworking companies. The saw cuts round, square and flat material as well as tubes and profiles in all qualities. It is particularly suitable for tool steels and difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium, Hastelloy or Inconel. The control system used automatically links the cutting technology with the corresponding material quality and the saw blade. It then saves this data. Thanks to Kasto's smart concept, the saw can also be integrated into automation solutions, creating a continuously controlled and intelligent material flow. Another highlight is Kasto's digital world, which was presented in the Smart Solutions Corner.
