Diamond tools with cold forming

pb,

No more grinding, honing and lapping

The production of smoothed and hardened surfaces on workpieces with hardnesses of up to 65 HRC is a demanding task.

Roughness depths of less than 1 µm can be achieved with Zeus diamond smoothing tools from Hommel+Keller Präzisionswerkzeuge. The 510 and 520 smoothing tool sets offer the possibility of integrating the smoothing of components into the machining process on a machine. Thanks to the cold forming technology, these tools can perfectly smooth shafts, outer and inner contours of even thin-walled components in the shortest possible time.

Zeus smoothing technology replaces subsequent processing steps that were previously necessary; it is an economical alternative to honing, superfinishing, polishing or grinding. The smoothing technology enables the smoothing and hardening of surfaces through the precise pressure of a polished diamond tip; the surface topography is formed cold.
