Over the four days of the trade fair, the international trade fair network will cover the entire metalworking value chain in the halls of Leipziger Messe. The exhibitors - including numerous renowned market leaders from Germany and abroad - will present their new products at the trade fair trio. In addition, the practice-oriented specialist program provides impetus and promotes the transfer of knowledge on the industry's top topics.

"Intec and Z are finally back in the exhibition halls: We are delighted that our industrial trade fairs are back on track after the pandemic-related break. Visitors can look forward to an attractive and extensive range of trade fairs. In addition, GrindTec is enriching the trade fair network for the first time - with its focus on tool processing and tool grinding, it fits in perfectly with Intec and Z," says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. Right now, it is important for exhibitors and visitors that industrial trade fairs such as Intec, Z and GrindTec are taking place again, emphasizes Markus Geisenberger: "Exhibitors and visitors are making it clear that they urgently need the exchange at our international trade fairs. At last, exhibitors can present the innovations and solutions they have developed live again. It is also important for the industry to maintain and realign supply chains, counter cost increases and become more resilient. Our trio of trade fairs is the ideal platform for in-depth discussions on these topics and for driving projects forward."

Intec: All production stages of metalworking

Major players in the machine tool industry and suppliers of precision tools such as Bimatec Soraluce, Ceratizit, Fanuc, Grob-Werke, Gühring, Hedelius, Hermle, Igus, Mapal, Okuma, Paul Horn, Profiroll Technologies, SEW, Schunk, Trumpf and Zoller will be at Intec 2023. The trade fair offering will primarily consist of machine tools, machine components, tools and clamping devices as well as production automation and robotics. Companies from the major German mechanical engineering centers of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony will once again have a strong presence. Around 10% of the exhibitors are coming from abroad. Most of the international exhibitors come from Switzerland, Italy and Austria.

Z: Suppliers and industrial service providers

Z once again offers suppliers of the lower and medium production levels as well as industrial service providers the platform for their positioning on the market. The focus of Z is on suppliers for mechanical and plant engineering, for the automotive and vehicle industry as well as for toolmaking and other industrial sectors. As part of the exhibition, trade visitors can obtain specific information about new products, materials and machining processes, universally applicable or special parts and components as well as contract manufacturing and services for various stages of industrial production. As in previous editions, the subcontracting trade fair once again has a high proportion of foreign exhibitors: Around 25% of exhibitors come from abroad - mainly from Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic.

GrindTec: Tool machining and tool grinding

"At GrindTec 2023 in Leipzig, exhibitors will present new solutions for tool machining and tool grinding, reflecting the requirements profile of the precision tool mechanics industry. This year's focus is on grinding machines, tool processing systems, their automation and abrasives," says Prof. Dr. Wilfried Saxler, Managing Director of the technical sponsor of GrindTec, the Trade Association of Precision Tool Mechanics (FDPW). He describes a trend that will shape future processes in industrial and craft businesses in the sector as follows: "We must and will deal intensively with adaptive structures that focus on the interaction of man and machine with artificial intelligence. At GrindTec, examples will be provided of how the complex system of requirements, measurement data, machine and workpiece to be machined can be smoothly organized using innovative control and software concepts. Visitors can look forward to new technologies that organize work processes more efficiently, faster and less error-prone."

Specialist program complements the exhibition offering

The practical specialist program is also an important part of the trade fair trio and helps to find answers to questions relating to the transformation of the industry. The special shows and specialist forums "Additive manufacturing - evolution of a modern technology", "Sensor technology - use and prospects in manufacturing" and "Fuel Cell Hub - value creation through hydrogen" will shed light on future topics in the industry. Both the international cooperation forum "Welcome to Saxony!" and the Contact Business Meetings are all about establishing business contacts across national borders. In addition, the Industry's Hidden Champions Conference will present the entrepreneurial transformation successes of medium-sized global market leaders as part of the trade fair network.

At GrindTec, visitors can expect a specialist program that covers the many facets of tool machining in various themed areas. The GrindTec Forum, for example, offers specialist presentations on current topics in the industry. In addition, scientific institutions from the industry will present the state of research and development at the GrindTec Campus. The Toolgrinder Challenge 2023 competition is looking for the best precision tool mechanic of the year - and the GrindTec Innovation Award honors innovative, efficient and sustainable products, processes and services.
