Grindtec postponed to November
Due to the coronavirus, Grindtec will not take place as planned from March 18 to 21, but will be postponed to November. This was announced by Grindtec organizer AFAG on 1 March.
The decision to postpone Grindtec from March to November 2020 was made by the organizer AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen on 1 March. The decision is based on the Robert Koch Institute's new recommendations for action for major events, which are also referred to by the German government's crisis management team.
The Managing Directors of AFAG, Henning and Thilo Könicke, commented: "The changed basic situation has prompted us to postpone GrindTec 2020. GrindTec 2020 cannot take place as planned from March 18 to 21, 2020 at Messe Augsburg. We can already say that a new date for GrindTec is planned for November 2020 (between week 46 and 48) in Bavaria. GrindTec is the world's most important industry platform for grinding technology. Especially in economically challenging times, the industry needs this event, which makes a significant contribution to promoting exports."
The new date for Grindtec 2020 will be announced later this week.
