Digitization of tools
New communication platform
At EMO Hannover, Zoller will be presenting a further development of zidCode as a new communication platform for manufacturing companies, which forms the basis for digital communication between machine tools, presetting and measuring machines and the Zoller Smart Cabinets storage systems.
In order to use zidCode, every tool holder in circulation must be equipped with a unique 2D code. The worker scans the code and the tool data is available in the communication platform and thus to the machine control system. The communication platform supports the user in creating and inventorying complete tools. The history of each tool can also be tracked.
