Adaptable bell
SMC recommends the ZP3M series vacuum cup for handling delicate workpieces. Thanks to its diagonal inner ribs, which are arranged radially, it prevents slipping even with oily workpieces.
Added to this is the flexible adaptation of the FS61 (fluororubber) material in a bell shape, which also allows curved workpieces to be accommodated. Further advantages include the high holding force, readiness for use even at high surface temperatures and easy maintenance thanks to the tool-free replacement of the filter. The vacuum cup achieves a holding force of 224 newtons for oily workpieces and 384 newtons for dry workpieces. The bell material is abrasion-resistant. A filter screen prevents foreign bodies from entering the vacuum system and supports cost-saving operation. In addition, the separation of suction cup and filter screen enables the separate disposal of metal and rubber parts, thus meeting the requirements for sustainable waste separation. The vacuum cup is available in various diameters between 32 and 100 mm and can be used in a surface temperature range of 0 to 200 °C.
