Software for laser cutting systems
Meets the requirements of 3D laser cutting systems
Prima Power is expanding its software with the Fastsuite Prima Power Edition developed by Cenit. The company, headquartered in Collegno, Italy, is a manufacturer of 2D and 3D laser cutting systems as well as machines and automatic production lines for sheet metal processing and distributes this software worldwide with its 3D Prima Power laser machines.
Prima Power has a long-standing, successful partnership with IT consultancy and software house Cenit to offer a key solution for 3D systems. As automation and robotics become increasingly important, the company has decided to take a further step and will sell the new software edition itself in the future. Marco Pivanti, Product Manager at Prima Power 3D Laser, is convinced of the benefits of the Fastsuite Prima Power Edition: "This new product allows our machines to show their full strength. It enables our customers to set up their production processes as quickly and efficiently as possible, as the software is tailored to their requirements."
The software supports the entire offline programming process, from importing CAD files to optimizing the NC program. Both programming and simulation are optimally adapted to the laser cutting processes on Prima machines. This enables efficient, intuitive and rule-based programming. Users benefit from a modern, easy-to-use user interface, an integrated cycle time simulator and simple license management. The product has a very flexible fixture builder for the automated definition of prototype fixtures as well as series fixtures with integrated clamps. Jens Fetzer, Vice President Business & Partner Development Digital Factory Solutions at Cenit, is delighted with the successful cooperation: "Cenit as an expert in the digital twin and offline programming and Prima Power as the market leader in the 3D segment complement each other perfectly. The Fastsuite Prima Power Edition is compatible with any CAD system and at the same time open to supporting current machine concepts such as the use of external axes for component handling." Cenit sees itself as a partner for successful digital transformation and, with Fastsuite, offers a solution for layout planning, offline programming, production simulation and virtual commissioning.
Fastsuite Edition 2 serves as a stand-alone and independent 3D simulation application. This includes component handling, automation technology, process validation, offline teaching, offline programming and virtual commissioning in a standardized 3D environment. According to the company, thanks to its modular structure, the scalable and open solution is suitable both for small companies that only want to program one robot cell and for large companies that want to map an entire digital factory in the future.
