With Lasermaxx Plott, Cameo Laser has added a laser cutting machine with an output of 35 to 200 W to its range. The CO₂ system equipped with a DC laser source is available in four sizes with the designations Lasermaxx Plott 60, 70, 100 and 125 with working fields from 600 × 400 to 1250 × 900 mm².

According to the company, it cuts a wide variety of materials, from wood and plastics to paper, cardboard and textiles. For example, only 100 W of power is required to cut 15 mm thick acrylic. In addition to cutting jobs, the system can also be used for marking work. According to Cameo Laser, this is made possible by advanced hardware: at the heart of the housing is a DC laser source with a powerful laser beam and interchangeable lenses in various strengths depending on the application requirements. The machine also has a slat cutting table, which can also be used flexibly. The number and position of the aluminum struts on which the material to be processed is placed can be freely selected. This prevents reflections in the laser process, which can lead to burrs on edges when cutting acrylic, for example.

Cameo has also developed its own software for industrial laser applications: The programs Laser Cut for Windows and Light Burn for Apple/IOS have a CAD/CAM part and are said to offer interfaces to all common vector and pixel graphic formats. ag
