Light modules for device status display
RS Components has launched a range of pre-assembled, pre-wired modular LED signal towers from its own RS Pro brand. They are a cost-effective means of visually signaling equipment faults and other machine conditions.
In addition to pre-assembled signal towers, the RS Pro range includes individual LED light elements, acoustic modules and pre-wired tower base units, which users can assemble according to their individual requirements.
The series of pre-assembled and pre-wired signal towers includes elliptical dome-shaped and cylindrical tower-like variants. RS supplies the columns with two (red and green) or three (red, amber and green) LED light modules. The elements can be quickly installed on bases with a diameter of 100, 70 or 50 mm. Pre-wiring makes it easy to assign colors to corresponding functions. It is also easier to set the signal output of individual colored modules. The settings for lighting elements include continuous light or flashing as well as various lighting effects.
Pre-assembled signal tower modules can be quickly dismantled and reassembled without the use of tools or interrupting the power supply. Adding or replacing LED modules, for example, is quick and easy. All modules are ergonomically designed and protected against dust and splash water in accordance with IP66.
The individual light elements are available with blue, yellow, red, green and clear LEDs. Piezoelectric audible alarm modules are also available on the market. They allow up to 16 options from continuous to intermittent sound output. Red LED warning strips are also available.
The RS-Pro base units have seven electrical contacts so that they can each support up to seven LED modules or six LEDs and one acoustic module. The electrical connection is made via a touch-safe IP20 plug. A wide range of mounting accessories includes surface-mounted bases for flat surfaces, wall brackets and extension poles of various lengths. Supply voltage options are 12 to 24 VAC/DC and 120/240 VAC.
