Numerous Bredenoord customer projects demonstrate just how effective mobile hybrid energy is in practice. For example, the power supply for an office building in a downtown location was ensured using a hybrid system consisting of a Battery Box and a low-emission Stage V power generator. This was due to an inadequate grid connection.
The battery storage system balanced out short-term load peaks, while the generator was activated only when needed. When battery capacity was low, it started automatically and recharged the storage system. Intelligent energy management, along with remote monitoring of performance data and fuel levels, ensured efficient and safe operation. Thanks to the smart interaction between the Battery Box and the Stage V generator set, generator runtime was significantly reduced. The resulting lower fuel consumption also noticeably reduced CO₂ emissions.
The result: a reliable, cost-effective, and at the same time exceptionally environmentally friendly energy supply—even under demanding urban conditions and regulatory requirements.
But hybrid systems also perform well in noise-sensitive applications. For example, Bredenoord provided low-emission, low-noise power to a temporary convention center operated by an international FMCG manufacturer in a residential area. The generator ran exclusively outside of statutory quiet hours and primarily to charge the battery, while the battery storage system independently took over the power supply at night. Remote monitoring ensured maximum operational reliability in this case as well.
