The official start of construction of the new Helukabel company headquarters was heralded today with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. The ceremony was attended by numerous guests of honor, including Thomas Schäfer, Mayor of Hemmingen, and representatives of the Ludwigsburg district.

Managing Director Helmut Luksch emphasized the clear commitment to the Baden-Württemberg location and the region. "We feel very much at home in Hemmingen and would like to further expand our position as an attractive employer in the Stuttgart region and a modern family business with the new building. This investment in the future is a further building block in our corporate strategy geared towards sustainable growth."

The office building with a gross floor area of around 12,000 square meters is being built at the south-eastern entrance to Hemmingen. The commercial and technical employees, who were previously spread across four locations within Hemmingen, will work together under one roof in future. The five-storey building, designed for 450 workstations, offers a modern working environment with large, daylight-flooded offices, seating areas, state-of-the-art conference rooms, a canteen with cafeteria and an entrance foyer of almost 700 square meters with exhibition space. "Thanks to the short distances and modern spatial concept, we are hoping for significantly faster and improved internal communication. In addition, the building enables us to present our capabilities to our customers in a variety of applications and markets," says Marc Luksch, son of the company founder and member of the management board. The building was designed by the renowned Stuttgart office of Wittfoht Architekten, which won the previous competition. Helukabel has awarded the contract for the turnkey construction to the regional construction company Wolff & Müller.
