Weidmüller: Site in Canada expanded

Weidmüller has expanded its presence in Canada. At an open day at the end of September, Chief Sales Officer Dr. Timo Berger opened the completely renovated site in Markham, Ontario, which serves as a warehouse, office building and training center. Customers, employees and distributors attended the small ceremony on the almost 28,000 square meter site.

Following the acquisition of the sales companies in 2017, this is an important step for Weidmüller to strengthen its presence in the Canadian market. "We have a great market position here in Canada, which we want to use as a basis for developing new business," explains Berger. "Thanks to the expanded location, we can now communicate even more intensively with our customers and respond to their needs."

In addition to the redesigned training center, which the employees use for product demonstrations and technical information events, the visitors primarily inspected the optimized warehouse: new equipment was added here and the room design was revised, which greatly simplifies and speeds up the entire inventory workflow.

The electrical engineering company has been supplying all customers in Canada from its warehouse in Markham since 1975. "The Canadian and North American market is an important growth driver for our company," says Berger. "Our global strategy and investments and the infrastructure here on site will help us to further expand our business and establish Weidmüller as an expert in the IIoT and control cabinet construction sector."
