Electronics housing
Cooling and protection guaranteed
Electronic housings made of extruded aluminum profiles combine several functions and practical advantages: They cool the power electronics and at the same time offer good EMC protection. In addition, slots for PCBs or additional cooling fins can be provided by designing the extrusion die accordingly.
When choosing a suitable electronics housing, factors such as material, stability, size and appearance play an important role. CTX supports and advises its customers comprehensively in the decision-making process. Aluminum extrusion profiles form the housing body for electronic housings in profile technology.
Individual shape
The individual design of the extrusion die determines the shape of the housing and, via the wall thickness, also its weight and robustness. Mechanically stable profile housings not only cool and protect power electronics very effectively. They also impress with their high-quality appearance, good EMC shielding and high temperature resistance.
The tool costs for the production of an application-specific die are low compared to other production processes. However, the process does result in a minimum profile length, which makes aluminum profile housings particularly suitable for series production. On request, CTX can take care of the complete CNC machining as well as the professional surface finishing of the profile housings by painting, chromating, anodizing or powder coating. Lettering by screen printing or laser engraving as well as sandblasted or glass bead blasted surfaces can also be realized without any problems.
