Elke Eckstein has led the Operations division of the Executive Board with extraordinary success over the past five years, making a significant contribution to Weidmüller 's success. As Chief Digital Officer (CDO), she launched and drove forward the strategically important topic of digital transformation. The Cabinet Products Division has also developed very well under her leadership.

"We very much regret Ms. Eckstein's decision to leave Weidmüller. She leaves behind a strong team that will continue to guarantee the high quality and delivery standards in the future and Weidmüller will therefore remain an excellent partner for its customers," says Christian Gläsel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the family-owned company.

As a logical next step in the implementation of the corporate strategy, the Supervisory Board has decided to anchor customer and technology orientation even more firmly at Management Board level. The Supervisory Board and Management Board have therefore decided to create the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). "We are delighted that Volker Bibelhausen has decided to take on the role of CTO at Weidmüller. With Mr. Bibelhausen, we are gaining an internationally experienced technology expert with excellent industry knowledge for our globally operating group," explains Gläsel. "Volker Bibelhausen's experience and expertise will further strengthen Weidmüller as a technology partner for our customers," adds CEO Jörg Timmermann.
