Financial year 2025
Lapp grows primarily in Asia
According to preliminary calculations, the Lapp Group generated revenue of over EUR 1.9 billion in the 2025 financial year (October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025) (2024 financial year: EUR 1.8 billion), thus continuing its revenue level of 2023 despite challenges in the domestic market.
The provider of integrated solutions in the field of cable and connection technology is continuing its growth trend in Asia, particularly in countries such as India, China and South Korea. Europe remains responsible for the majority of Lapp'sglobal sales. However, rising costs and the weak economy are weighing on business here in particular. On the American continent, Lapp is defying customs policy uncertainties with solid growth.
Matthias Lapp, CEO of the Lapp Group, says: "We have been focusing on consistent internationalization for decades. This strategy is paying off, especially in geopolitically tense times. We see great potential for our products and solutions in Latin America and Asia in particular: This is also demonstrated by our acquisitions in China and Brazil in recent months." The family entrepreneur is more cautious about the domestic market: "In Europe, we have stabilized at a weak level following sales losses in the previous year. But in Germany in particular, we need to work on costs, processes and structures in order to remain competitive."
Matthias Lapp is cautiously optimistic about the current 2026 financial year: "We expect to continue our growth in Asia and on the American continent. The situation in Germany and Europe remains challenging. From a global perspective, we as the Lapp Group are in an excellent environment. More energy, more data, more connections: Our customers are in industries of the future such as renewable energies, battery storage systems, data centers and intralogistics. These are contributing more and more to our turnover."
As of September 30, 2025, the Lapp Group employs around 5700 people worldwide.
