Trumpf acquires Teufel Solutions
Machine manufacturer and laser specialist Trumpf has acquired Teufel Solutions AG with effect from August 1.
Founded in 2002 as an SAP system house, Teufel Solutions, based in Bottighofen, Switzerland, is a development partner for Trumpf's TruTops Fab software. The production control system allows the entire sheet metal production to be managed and all machine orders to be monitored and controlled. The system has a modular design and enables the functions to be introduced step by step.
The acquisition strengthens the company's portfolio in the field of digitally networked production. In this context, Chief Digital Officer Mathias Kammüller emphasizes: "Trumpf is focusing on networked production. With the acquisition of Teufel Solutions, we are demonstrating that we are consistently pursuing our digital ambition. Teufel Solutions' expertise in TruTops Fab and TruConnect perfectly complements TRUMPF's Industry 4.0 activities."
The takeover is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
