Following the establishment of the Chinese subsidiary in Shanghai in 2015, the newly opened location is intended to further strengthen SLM Solutions' presence in China. The aim is also to enable local employees to work successfully with customers and thus promote innovation in the field of selective laser melting.

The new building hasa total offour selective laser melting machines. In the application center, customers can also find out about SLM Solutions' process-supporting products. These include post-processing options, a metallurgical laboratory and best-practice examples of metal powder deposition and handling. Expanded capacity for calibration equipment, spare parts storage and a growing customer service team are expected to continue growth in the region.
