Increased process reliability

Rolling head with intelligent sensors

LMT Fette is presenting the Evoline tangential rolling head at Intec. This increases process reliability while simplifying tool handling. The intelligent sensor technology also makes it suitable for the smart factory.

The tangential rolling head can be installed and removed without tools. It also has labeling information on the components to facilitate correct assembly and spare part identification. The rolling head hinges are manufactured using 3D printing. This increases the tool's breaking strength because the component structures are more precisely aligned with the flow of force and have an improved topology. Furthermore, adjustable cooling and flushing nozzles can be integrated into the hinges. An optimized volume flow supports the rolling process. There is a sensor in the rolling head hinge that is connected to a strain gauge and can therefore carry out regular force measurements. Users can evaluate the data obtained via an app and Bluetooth connection. am
