Ralf Bachthaler takes over board position at Asseco Solutions
ERP specialist Asseco Solutions has appointed a long-standing ERP sales professional to its Management Board: Ralf Bachthaler has been part of the Asseco management team since July 1.
The technological upheaval in the SME sector is in full swing. Companies must each develop and implement their own digitalization strategy. As a partner for digital transformation in the SME sector, ERP specialist Asseco Solutions is benefiting greatly from the associated growth potential. To further support and drive this positive development, the Karlsruhe-based ERP provider has appointed a long-standing ERP sales professional to its Management Board: Ralf Bachthaler (50) has been part of the Asseco management team since July 1. Bachthaler, who has already had overall responsibility for sales at Asseco Solutions as Chief Sales Officer since April, intends to use his expertise to support the company in gearing its structures towards sustainable and strong growth, including internationally.
In his task of promoting further company growth and gaining additional market share, Bachthaler will benefit from his many years of experience in international sales and key account business. The industrial engineering graduate began his career over 20 years ago as an ERP consultant and project manager before switching to sales at the end of the 1990s. Further stations in his career included the software company Rembold + Holzer and the ERP specialist Brain. After its takeover by Infor, Ralf Bachthaler worked there from 2002 in a wide variety of positions and was responsible for the Group's entire new customer business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In particular, he headed Infor's key account business in Europe for almost nine years as a member of the European management team and Vice President Global Accounts.
Helping to shape the technological future
"With its medium-sized structure and technological innovation, I believe Asseco is in an ideal position to support customers in the digital transformation - because Asseco already has specific product solutions in this area," says Ralf Bachthaler. "In my view, the company's intensive research work is one of the key aspects of driving forward and actively shaping the development of new technologies and solutions in general. Not least due to the current shortage of skilled workers, the topic of artificial intelligence, for example, is playing an increasingly important role - both in the form of the integration of robot technology and its integration into ERP processes as well as in the form of increased process automation. Asseco Solutions already has concrete approaches and initial practical implementations in this area too. I am very much looking forward to supporting such an innovative technology pioneer in sales and thus actively driving forward the development of such exciting future topics."
